Highlights

• Design featured eight-lane 400m running track with associated field events, all to IAAF standards, and two artifical turf sports fields encompasing soccer pitches to FIFA standards and a CFL sized football field. Park includes the first two artificial outdoor fields in Fort McMurray. 
• $16 million park was constructed under the original projected budget. 
• Stormwater pond accepts runoff from the surrounding community of Timberlea; site grading had to account for impacts of water volumes during storm surges. Water is managed through cascading bioswales and a central stormwater pond.
